Christopher (Spectral Lake)

A character from another little side project called Spectral Lake (title in progress).

Christopher grew up on a farm in the midwest before striking out on his own and finding a college. On one of his stops in Los Angeles, he came upon an LAPD recruitment fair, where he and several others were given a tour of one of their stations. (That's where he got his ~swanky~ hoodie). He was inspired by this to become an officer, and eventually went to school for a criminal justice degree at a university in Seattle. At the college he met a woman named Charlotte, who was getting her degree in dance. She and him hit it off remarkably well, and ended up getting engaged after a few years together. They frequently went out hiking and boating, a particularly woody area surrounding a Spectral Lake being their favorite place to camp out during the long nights.

It was there that Charlotte was murdered.

This led Christopher into a spiraling depression. He skipped classes and ultimately almost gave up on his future dreams. He got more and more involved with the idea of the spiritual, hoping beyond all hope he'd be able to not only bring the killer to justice, but also find the lingering spirit of his loved one.
During a visit to that same lake, he came upon the ruins of an old, victorian-looking abode. There he encountered his first paranormal entity, not Charlotte, but an old ghost who had died a hundred years prior. Her name was Eleanor, and in life she had been a ghost hunter of sorts herself. It was through an incident with a poltergeist that she herself had been ripped from her body and trapped on the earthy plane.

Eleanor eventually is able to convince Christopher to let her be his teacher in all things paranormal. Soon, the two work together to seek ghostly entities and guide them to the afterlife.

Yet still, Christopher's main goal is to find Charlotte and bring her peace.
